I’m especially welcoming of new experiences with Bluefin Sushi Restaurant
Shaurica C.(Denver, Colorado) — I came here thinking it was a completely different place that I had been to before and loved. Turns out, it’s not, lol, and I’ve actually never been here before today. Bummer. But going to make the best of it, I’m especially welcoming of new experiences!
I came here at the start of happy hour (2:30-4:30pm), and started off with a glass of chilled, sweet, Choya plum wine. The service was immediate, because at the time, I was the only patron. What turned out to be an even bigger bummer, they don’t host any sashimi at all on their happy hour menu. So you’re stuck getting a few pieces of raw fish for dinner prices, all day. I actually don’t like sushi because I don’t care for the rice; I feel it’s a cheap filler (for both my stomach, and the rolls themselves), but chalk that up to personal preference.
The menu items are a bit pricey, so come prepared for that. I went with the Sashimi Sampler and Yellowtail Jalapeño for appetizers, and an order of Tuna Tataki for my entree. All very fresh and made with precision/care. The Tuna Tataki was especially flavorful. This place is a little pricey for my taste, but a good experience nonetheless.
